Recently took an adventure through the abandoned Packard Plant in Downtown Detroit. It has been said in the last couple of days that the owner of the land will be demolishing by the end of March, with fences going up within a week to prevent looters taking what will be hopefully paying for part, if not all of the demolition.
In my continual search to find beauty in the mundane and run-down, I was lead to Fisher Body Plant 21 on Piquette and St. Antoine in Detroit.
When asked about coming up in the Tacoma music scene, Trevor and Rachel of He Is We said, "If people didn’t show up, it would’ve been so discouraging; but just to see that people kept showing up and enjoyed it. Even if it wasn’t for us, the second time around it would be for us and that felt great. Seeing kids wear our shirts when we first got them, that was the coolest feeling in the world knowing they wanted to represent us."
We see only a small part of what is possible.
